Auricular Treatments:
The ear is a microsystem of the body and can be utilized to treat many ailments similar to the way reflexology is used on the feet. Ear treatments are a great alternative to traditional full body treatments when time is short or there is a physical restriction to lying down. After a brief intake needles are inserted into each ear and the patient is left to sit quietly. All ear treatments receive ear seeds to go home with which can prolong the effects of the treatment. The seeds continue to stimulate the auricular points for 3-5 days.

The Chinese herbal pharmacology is extensive including both plant and mineral ingredients. These herbs can be used individually but are much more often combined into formulas that are finely tuned. Depending on the patient’s presentation the formulas themselves may be customized to maximize results. Incorporating herbs into your treatment plan when needed can help to enhance the healing process by addressing both the root and the branch of the disease. Herbal consults can be performed individually or are included in your acupuncture session.

Cupping:
Cupping has grown in popularity recently due to its incredible therapeutic and healing effects – and for the distinctive marks it can leave. Having an opposite mechanism than traditional massage; cupping gently separates layers of skin, fascia and muscle to reduce adhesions and allow for new blood flow to reach affected areas. Cupping can be included as part of your acupuncture session if needed or as a stand-alone service.
